The Howard University African Student Association s a body of Students, graduate and undergraduate, that are either directly from the continent, share ties with the continent, or have an interest in learning about life on the continent. ASA embraces students of all kind, but hope to reach out to homesick students coming from Africa, and provide them with an organization dedicated to the preservation of their culture, and transitioning into their new one.
The HU ASA boasts one of the University’s largest Fashion shows, also officially apart of DC Fashion week. It also prides itself as being one of the few organizations that has had at least 3 smaller organizations branch from its membership, including the Omoge dance group and the African Business Club.
ASA extends a warm welcome to all new members of the Howard University community, undergrad, grad, and even alumni!
